Tampa’s Tower District
Water Street is a 50-acre district developed by Strategic Property Partners — Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik together with Bill Gates’s Cascade Investment. The Heron residences opened in April 2021, the Asher added 490 units by 2022, and roughly 3,500 homes are planned in all, linked to the Channel District by the TECO Line Streetcar.
Add Harbour Island and the downtown core, and it’s a neighborhood where moving anything means paperwork and elevators. City SWEEP rules technically apply, but a curbside pile isn’t realistic from a tower.
